Whoa... I have a new favorite group. Marcoux Corner, out of North Dakota, remind me a lot of the late, great Blenders. Maybe they're not as wacky/boy-bandish but they're definitely there in terms of muscianship and tight, tight harmony. I've added five tracks from their CD Buyin' Time (a stack of impressive original tracks with a couple of covers), so listen for "Your Kisses," "Someday Soon," the classic "Moondance," "In My Dreams" and the title track.

As a bonus, keep your ears tuned in college group The Dreamers ("of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Alpha Zeta Chapter" --a.k.a. The Dreamers of Penn State) who burst out with three energetic covers: "867-5309/Jenny," "Can't Help Falling in Love With You" and "So Much in Love," all off their CD Mom- Send Money! Latest updates:
  • From Canada's OnCue (an outgrowth of the Youth Singers of Calgary) comes tracks off their debut disc, Yakety: the Mamas and the Papas classic "California Dreamin'" and "River (with Sailing)".
  • More from up north: Cadence, a wacky quartet, brings us some fantastic covers of "I Wish" and "59th Street Bridge Song" (you'll recognize it)... plus the lovely original tune, "Lullaby for Hannah." All three of these are off their new release, Frost-Free.
  • And Soundstage7 (available now for gigs in the Boston area!) serenades us with "Play That Funky Music" and "All Four Seasons."
  • Finally, courtesy of A Cappella Radio International, we have "Hey Little Man" by Eddie From Ohio.
