Listen for a lovely barbershop rendition of "All of Me" by Realtime (a 2004 international finalist in the "World Series of Barbershop"), off their brand new CD Four Brothers.

Hey everyone, Sixth Wave has announced that they are on the 47th Annual Grammy Awards Nominating Ballot, which is the first step in the Grammy Awards process. Pretty cool, eh? If you are a voting member of the Recording Academy, please consider voting for them! Congrats to the gang and good luck...
I've added the a cappella version of Braids' "Bohemian Rhaposdy." This isn't really a standalone a cappella song; it was a monster R&B-flavored hit (with instruments) when it was released in 1996 and I happened across a copy of the vocal tracks with no instruments. So there's some moments of silence (where the instruments would fill in)... but 80% of the song is tight, tight harmonies and I think you'll enjoy it as something a little different.

New stuff, on the air over the past few months:

  • Courtesy of A Cappella Radio International, listen for U. Penn's Off The Beat brings us Sting's "Desert Rose" (awesome harmony), Natalie Merchant's "Carnival" and the Red Hot Chili Pepper's "How Long."

  • The Accidentals bring us two great covers: "Back On The Chain Gang" and "Can't Buy Me Love."

  • Tonic Sol Fa's amazing new CD, By Request, gives us three great tracks: "Brown Eyed Girl," "Cecilia" and "El Paso." These guys keep getting better and better with every release.

  • I'm also playing five tracks off the CD RElease from No Better Cause: "Still The One," "Don't Tell Me," "My Girl," "Show Me the Way" and "Africa."

  • Listen for more in the next few weeks, and best of all, tons of new holiday music for A Cappella Holiday, the sister station to A Cappella Always!
